VP, Qualitative Research - Remote office (U.S.)

Market researcher with significant research experience and established client base responsible for building a profitable research team. 


Compensation: A competitive base salary with performance driven bonus based on new business generation and individual, team and company performance. Plus 401(k), medical/dental benefits, home-office reimbursement, and a flexible/generous vacation policy.


Responsibilities include: 
  • Cultivating new business to grow client base, including:
    • Bringing new clients that lead to expansion of our client base.
    • Leveraging current and former clients to solicit RFPs and win projects.
  • Strategically leading research team on qualitative research projects, including a mix of managing and participating in:
    • Developing proposals for new and existing clients.
    • Creating discussion guides and creative exercises.
    • Moderating in-person and phone interviews/focus groups with a variety of respondents (primarily doctors and patients).
    • Analyzing research findings and interpreting the results to create insightful debriefs, reports and presentations.
    • Presenting results to clients.
  • Hiring, developing and managing other moderators, analysts and project managers.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; additional credentials a plus.
  • 15+ years of market research experience, preferably on the supplier side.
  • High level of expertise in strategic moderating and reporting in pharma/biotech.
  • Proven track record of winning, retaining and growing new business that can be quickly realizable.
  • Have existing client relationships that will be leveraged. 
    • This researcher could possibly be assigned some projects for existing clients; however, we expect that the candidate will primarily be expected to cultivate his/her own client base and generate the vast majority of projects on his/her own immediately upon employment.  Nonetheless, they will be expected to independently manage any assign research projects from start to finish.
  • Specialist in another industry or methodology a plus; for example:
    • Linguistic analysis, biometrics, eye tracking, metaphor analysis, social media, etc.
    • Expertise/client base in high tech, retail or other high-growth industry for market research.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, including strong proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Comfort/experience with quant research an important plus.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and demonstrated experience in client service.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a work-from-home environment.
