-Must be proficient in conducting various types of research: Consumer segmentation, need gap identification, positioning, brand awareness & equity, product testing, LCM, advertising effectiveness, and shopper marketing.
-Considerable experience with: Concept, product, and advertising evaluation 

-Provide consumer, market, and shopper insights to drive innovation, inform business decisions, and enhance portfolio value.
-Emphasis on research that links to and helps explain the how and why of consumer/shopper behavior
-Scope of research initiatives include product preferences, positioning and claims, attitudes and usage, advertising effectiveness, point-of-sale, and shopper marketing


RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to define research objectives, choose methodology (qualitative, quantitative and/or secondary research), make vendor selection, and produce analysis/report that will best address business needs
-Represent the consumer and shoppers’ voice to ensure understanding and integration at key Touchpoints within the organization
-Represent US brand voice and informational needs in interactions with Global counterparts
-Strengthen key retail partnerships by leveraging research findings to help drive category expansion as well as brand growth
-Manage projects, including supplier relationships, in a timely, cost effective fashion

MUST HAVES: CPG or Food + Exp with Nielsen data and software 

EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, market research, marketing or social sciences required. MBA or Masters in Market Research is preferred. 
- 7+ years of analytical or qualitative/ quantitative market research experience in a CPG manufacturer, retailer or market research company working in traditional food/drug/mass channels
-Experience with measuring digital flow and effectiveness is a plus
-Previous CPG work experience preferred
-Knowledge of Nielsen Data Software and Nielsen product suite preferred   

Education Required: MBA pref.

Percent Travel: 10%, Occasional overnight travel
